Active ingredients:
Amla (Emblica officinalis). Has 30 times more vitamin C than an orange per 100 g. Amla balances the blood’s glucose and haemoglobin levels to optimise heart function. Amla strengthens teeth and bones and promotes the growth of strong vibrant hair. Amla increases metabolic function to aid digestion boosts immunity and cleanses the liver and internal organs eliminating harmful heavy metals and nutrient consuming free-radicals.
Haritaki (Terminalia chebula). Well known in Ayurveda to slow the effects of the degenerative cycle of the body causing premature ageing. Haritaki improves memory and eyesight and treats disorders of the lungs and digestive system. Haritaki boosts immunity restores intestinal microflora. and eliminates harmful parasites.
Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica). Has powerful rejuvenating effects on the body and heals numerous ailments. Bibhitaki balances the Ayurvedic element of fire (vata dosha) and cleanses bodily wastes (slags) to optimise the body’s own physiological processes.
Dosage: adults and children over 12 years of age take 3-6 tablets per day 5-10 minutes before meals. Children aged between 4-7 years of age take 1/3 tablet 2-3 times per day. Children aged between 8-11 years of age take 1-2 tablets 3 times per day. Triphala can be mixed with warm water or milk (or plant based substitute). It is suggested to maintain use of Triphala for 6 weeks as a preventative treatment. Use of Triphala should be done under the guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner.
Contraindications: do not use if suffering from diarrhoea or dysentery. Not recommended for children under 3 years of age and persons over 70 years of age.
