Active ingredients:
Amla (Emblica officinalis). 100 g of Amla has 30 times more vitamin C than an orange. Amla strengthens bones teeth revitalises hair improving metabolism and digestion by cleansing toxins from the liver whilst removing heavy metals and free radicals. It aids heart health by stabilising blood sugar levels.
Haritaki (Terminalia chebula). A herb that promotes longevity and slows the effects of ageing. It prevent hair greyness improves sight and memory and heals respiratory and digestive ailments. It boosts immunity and restores intestinal flora. It has a mild laxative effect.
Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica). Regulates Vata dosha removing stones from the digestive tract and is useful in the treatment of numerous ailments. It rejuvenates the body by its anthelminthic calming properties.
Dosage: courses take typically 3-4 months. Adults take 1/2 teaspoon Triphala twice daily before meals. Children aged 6-14 take 1/5 teaspoon Triphala before bedtime. Triphala should be mixed with lukewarm water milk (or plant-based substitute) and honey or molasses.
Contraindications: avoid use when pregnant breast feeding or if experiencing diarrhoea or dysentery. Not recommended for children under 6 or persons over 70 years of age.
Composition: every 5 grams contains: Amla (Emblica officinalis) – 1.66 g, Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) – 1.66 g, Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica) – 1.66 g; Preservatives: Methyl paraben (Methyl paraben) – I.P., Propyl paraben (Propyl paraben) – I.P.
Recommended use: cardiological ailments; constipation; diabetes; malabsorption (abnormal inability to uptake nutrients from food); eliminating toxins from the blood; gastrointestinal disorders; hair loss and greying; high blood pressure; lethargy and weakness after surgery; metabolic imbalance and stabilising the Ayruvedic doshas; obesity; stomach ulcers.
