Active ingredients:

Amla (Emblica officinalis). Normalises blood glucose levels aiding the heart. 100g af amla contains 30 times more vitamin C than an orange. It strengthens teeth and bones/promotes hair growth/improves digestion metabolism and immunity/helps to synthesise haemoglobin whilst cleansing the liver and other internal organs from toxins. Amla is a rejuvenating fruit that can remove heavy metals and free radicals from the body.

Haritaki (Terminalia chebula). Well known plant with anti ageing properties. It slows the onset of grey hair whilst accelerating hair growth. It aids memory function and improves sight. It assists in the treatment of lung and digestive system disorders. It has a mild laxative effect and aids in improving digestion. Haritaki eliminates parasites whilst restoring beneficial intestinal microflora.

Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica). Rejuvenating plant that is a tonic with anthelminthic and relaxing properties. It aids in healing a number of diseases whilst regulating the Ayurvedic vata dosha. It can remove intestinal stones from the digestive tract and is a general beneficial tonic for all bodily functions.

Guggul (Commiphora mukul). Resin obtained from the Myrrh tree and used widely in Ayurvedic medicine. The resin combines with the other herbs in triphala guggul and strengthens their effectiveness. The resin itself is a powerful cleansing agent that normalises kidney function removes kidney stones and other harmful substances from the kidneys including slags and toxins by its powerful absorbent properties.

Pippali (Piper longum). Is found almost exclusively in India and is extensively used in Ayurvedic medicine. Its use as a ‘phyto-formulation’ aids other herbs in the treatment of stomach ailments. Pippali is a strong antiseptic that stimulates the gastrointestinal tract increasing appetite and regulating secretions from the stomach and pancreas. Pippali has sylvaine sitosteroids and methylpiperidine that eliminate cholestasis and nausea.

Dosage: Adults and children 12 years and old 1-2 tablets three times per day approximately 15 minutes before meals. Children from 4-7 years of age half a tablet twice daily. Children from 8-11 years of age half a tablet three times per day. The entire preventative course should take 2-3 months. It is always advised to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner who may prescribe longer periods of use.

Contraindications: avoid use if suffering from diarrhoea and dysentery. Pregnant and lactating mothers should avoid use. Children under 3 years of age and persons over 70 years of age should avoid use. If suffering diseases that promote hormonal imbalance then avoid use as triphala guggul may increase oestrogen production in the body. Using other medications containing oestrogen should also be avoided if using triphala guggul. Use with caution if experiencing thyroid disorders. Avoid use of any product containing guggul for at least 2 weeks after surgery.

Composition: Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) – 28.125 mg, Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica) – 28.125 mg, Amla (Emblica officinalis) – 28.125 mg, Pippali (Piper longum) – 28.125 mg, Guggul (Commiphora mukul) – 140.625 mg.
