Vasaka is an effective Ayurvedic remedy that has long been used to maintain the health of the bronchopulmonary system. It has anti-inflammatory, expectorant and bronchodilator effects, due to which it cleans the airways and quickly relieves cough. For many centuries, wasaki leaves have been used to treat bronchopulmonary diseases – bronchitis, asthma, tuberculosis, cough and shortness of breath.

The effectiveness of the drug is due to its property of reducing the viscosity of bronchial secretions and normalizing the function of the glands of the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract, which leads to the restoration of the normal structure of sputum and facilitating its secretion. Helps relieve nasal breathing, treats even protracted and chronic cough. As a result of the expansion of the lumen of the vessels, shortness of breath goes away, and the general functions of the lungs also improve.

Wasaki fruit contains a lot of iodine, which is the main participant in the production of phagocytes – the “orderlies” of our body, which destroy damaged cells and foreign bodies. Because of this, it is used with maintenance therapy to alleviate the symptoms of pulmonary infections and tuberculosis. Wasaka is the main component in such well-known drugs as “Doctor MOM”, “Cook syrup”, “Travisil” or “Suprim broncho”.
